Policies and Procedures
I am really looking forward to coaching you to accomplish exactly what you REALLY want. On a business note, I want you to be familiar with my policies and procedures. If you have any questions, just ask at our next session, or call/e-mail me!! Please note that I am not asking for a contract. This is a basic agreement so that we are both on the same page.
Procedure
I prefer to set up calls with as much lead time as possible as I must schedule other clients, seminars, and the like. We can do this by phone or by e-mail. I will supply my personal phone number once we have agreed to a coaching agreement. For information or to request a trial session, you may contact me toll-free at 888-283-7476 (United States callers only). My fax number is 425-484-4435. You can e-mail me at coach@andrewporetz.com.
My fees are based on sessions per month, not by time. A standard session is about one hour. There may be times when you tell me you are “complete” in less than an hour, or occasionally we may go slightly over an hour. This will not affect the fee.
There will be a weekly tracker that I will expect you to e-mail me in advance of our call so that I can know where you are at and how I can coach you most effectively. The tracker is for your benefit as well as mine, and you will receive the most benefit from coaching by fully participating in the process. Should you choose not to fill out trackers or other assessments, or sending them to me so late that I cannot utilize it effectively before the call, is obviously not in your best interests. I am counting on you to “play team” with me –it’s your team; I’m your coach, and we both want your team to win!
Payments
I request payments to be made in advance of the month. I accept Paypal and mailed checks at this time. (You may use any credit card on Paypal that you have registered with that service.) Discounts of 10% or 20% are available for upfront payments of three and six months.
Changes
If you need to reschedule your call, I require at least a 24-hour notice. If you have an emergency, we will work around it. [If you must cancel a call without such notice and we cannot find a mutually convenient time to reschedule, you may have to forfeit that week’s session, unless we are on a biweekly schedule or a three weeks on/one-week off schedule.] There may be a time that I am forced to reschedule as well, but I will let you know as far in advance as possible. I expect you to be on time for your calls, with the understanding that, unless I have available time following our scheduled call, the call would by necessity be shortened by the amount of time you are late. Also, a “no show” will likely result in no coaching call that week (of course this is notwithstanding exceptional circumstances that are completely outside of your control).
Extra Time
Feel free to call me between our calls if you can’t wait to share a success with me, need advice or are facing a challenge you’d like to talk over. I do have time between our regular calls to speak with you, if needed. I enjoy providing this extra level of service. I do not bill for additional time of this type, but I ask that you keep the extra calls to about 5 or 10 minutes each, please. You may also e-mail me at any time. I am here to help you to win.
Challenges
If I ever say or do something that upsets you or doesn’t feel right, please bring it up. I promise to do what is necessary to have you be satisfied. We will work on all things like this as a team. I value truth and expect you to tell me if I overstep.
Nature of Relationship
The Coaching Relationship is in no way to be construed as psychological counseling or any type of therapy. In the event a client feels the need for professional counseling or therapy it is the responsibility of the client to seek a licensed professional. Coaching results are not guaranteed. Client enters into coaching with the understanding that they are responsible for creating their own results.
Confidentiality
The Coach recognizes that the Client may share the following: future plans, business affairs, customer lists, financial information, job information, goals, personal information and other proprietary information. The Coach will not at anytime either directly or indirectly, use any information for the Coach’s own benefit, disclose, or communicate in any manner any information to any third party. I may in the future ask you for a testimonial, and may ask other requests of you in order to further my journey to become a master certified coach. You have the right to say yes or no to these requests.
Referral Bonus
My practice fills by referrals. If you feel that our coaching relationship is adding value to your life, please recommend me to friends and colleagues that you feel would benefit from a similar relationship. If you recommend someone who enters a coaching agreement with me and stays for 3 months, you will receive your next month’s coaching FREE! In the event that your friend and I don’t “connect” after a free, introductory coaching session, I may recommend them to another coach who I feel is better suited to help them achieve their goals. I am sure you understand that the bonus month is only available when clients sign with me.
Termination
Although it is not a hard and fast rule, it is a good idea to make an initial commitment of 3 months or longer because of the scope and nature of coaching. With that said, coaching is usually arranged on a month-to-month basis unless it is part of a discounted package. The Client may cancel at anytime. This can be done by voice, fax or e-mail. Payment made for current month shall be considered full payment for coaching unless there is an unpaid balance. In the event of fees owed at the time of cancellation, full payment is due. There are no refunds given for unused sessions from multiple-month coaching packages. A coaching relationship can only work if the client is “coachable,” meaning that the client is willing to be coached, which in this context means to decide upon and to take actual action steps to move forward. Coachability does not come naturally to everyone and it may take a little time. However, it is the Coach’s discretion to end a coaching relationship if the client is consistently not willing to be coached, in which case any advance fees paid for coaching will be promptly refunded.

Hi, Neat post. There’s an issue with your site in web explorer, might test this? IE nonetheless is the marketplace leader and a good portion of folks will omit your wonderful writing due to this problem.

Not much I can do about this, as I’m using a free WordPress site. IE is really a dinosoar, though, and I know few people who still use it. Firefox and Chrome are far superior.
